it is known that the Cusco city existed, before the Inca empire, the Inca society was an example of organization, had a good command of knowledge like architecture, hydraulic engineering, medicine and agriculture. It is considered one of the most ancient cities of the continent.


The city itself is one of the Peru’s greatest treasures. Seat of the ancients Inca empire, many of its buildings rest upon Incan foundations.


The area is also rich in Peru’s vibrant living heritage. The culture of the quechua Indians, many of whom maintain essentially the same way of life they have known for thousands of years. Nowadays tourism and agriculture are the main economical activities.

THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
